MPL 2010 Announcing the initial Coaching Appointment for 2010
- no surprises here –
Avoca FC are very pleased that Mr Shane Chamings will be the man in the hot seat.
Further announcements regarding the full coaching group will be made in due course.
The club again acknowledges the hard work and commitment of a great number of people over the last few years and in particular the playing and coaching group of 2009 - a great achievement.
The club wishes all interested players the very best in pre-season and in respect of team selection for the squads in 2010 - all the best lads.
Season 2010 kicks off now and the we all look forward to the challenge of MPL.
Initial Training Sunday 3rd of Jan 9am Start meeting at the Skillion carpark....
Initial Program - The sessions will comprise early Sunday sessions and 2 midweek (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Message from the new "Gaffer": This is the start of a new chapter for Avoca...the invitation is open to everyone and anyone that would like to come....please be warned though as as the club is now competing in Premier League - training will be different to what we have ever done before....

The first of our many sessions this season is now done and dusted.....thanks to those that braved the elements and still turned out for our first session of the year....the dreaded fitness assessment.
For Training this Tuesday we are meeting at Avoca Shark Tower Carpark at 6:30pm sharp. Training in this early stage of the season will only go for between 60 and 90 mins so please be on time so we can start at 6:30 on the dot. You can bring boots, but most sessions through Jan we will not have an opportunity to use them as our training facilities are limited.
Please also note that all training sessions will be on regardless of the weather.

Lads, this is for anyone who has not got their hands on our Jan schedule. If you have not been to training yet you will not have seen these.
Tonights session is at Copa Primary School 6:30pm start. Please be there on time again this session will be hard and will not go more than 90 mins.
Remember....no boots at Copa! If you only have boots then you will not be able to train.

Hi lads,
am stuck at work as per usual but good to hear that people are going hard from the start. These early weeks are where the tone gets set, so keep giving 100%. Will be joining you on Sunday for my sins, so keep the updates on location going please Chamo.

Great session yesterday in the heat. Just a reminder Tuesdays we will be meeting at the little park next to the Avoca Shark Tower Car Park prior to 6:30pm as we will start at 6:30pm sharp and Thursdays will be same time but at Copa Primary School. Sundays to continue at the Haven 9am. Each sessions is designed to be very hard but this will pay us great dividends when the season starts.....keep up the good work!
Remember if you are sore after a session do something inbetween sessions....walk, run, ride or swim and then stretch.....it will make all the difference.
See you all there during the week. Both Gary and I are very pleased with the efforts so far so keep working at it!

Lads,
Legs will be a little sore today after yesterdays session.....again a great effort by all who attended. Beach sessions are always that lit bit harder. If you are sore make sure you do something today and then stretch, that will ensure we avoid injury.
Thursday will be at Copa Primary School again, 6:30pm Sharp. Please don't be late. Any questions please call me.

But all the best with it. Thought it was only fair to pass on this knowledge when I'd decided.

| happy new year boys... sorry I have not been present at pre season training as of yet, on hols in Noosa... will be there for this weekends deathness session and most definitely in need of a fitness wakeup after my poor season last year

Same as Incoll guys. Won't be playing or I will be playing a lower grade for a few months before i head overseas in June.
